Damp was founded in Cape Town, South Africa by herbalist and former hairstylist, Carle.

Through previously working several years in the beauty and fashion industry, she realised how much it has an impact on the planet and felt inspired by this to focus on developing Earth and body-friendly products which led her down the path to applying her knowledge to create haircare that is truly effective and sustainable. Her goal is to continue creating innovative, natural products that prioritise the wellbeing of people and the planet, and believes it is the company’s responsibility to consciously create products that don’t disrupt the balance of the natural world.
